Acceptance
By using Cook with Maki (the "App" or "Service") you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
The service
Maki is a recipe app focused on the Instant Pot, with an AI-powered recipe import, a shopping list, and a meal planner. The Service is provided as-is and may change as we improve it.
Accounts
You can browse anonymously or create an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for activity on your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service or violate these Terms.
Your content
Recipes, photos, notes, shopping lists and other content you create remain yours. You grant us a limited license to store, display and translate your content within the Service. If you share a recipe publicly, other users may view, save, fork and cook it.
Acceptable use
Do not upload content that infringes copyrights, is unlawful, harmful, or impersonates others. Do not scrape, reverse engineer, or probe the Service for vulnerabilities outside of responsible disclosure.
AI features
The recipe import uses a third-party large language model (Google Gemini). Extracted or translated recipes are best-effort. Always check ingredients, cook times and allergens before cooking, especially for guests with dietary restrictions.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings or at /settings/account/delete. We may terminate or restrict access if you breach these Terms.
No warranty
The Service is provided without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for cooking outcomes, allergic reactions, equipment damage, or other indirect losses arising from use of the Service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app or via email. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
